Moses Kansanga


Dr. Kansanga is an Associate Professor of Geography and International Affairs at GW and a Distinguished Research Chair at the Elliott School of International Affairs. He is also currently an International Research Fellow at the Wilson Center (2023-2024) and an undergraduate advisor for the BA in Environmental Studies program in Geography at GW. His research focuses on questions at the intersection of environmental change and sustainable agriculture. His current research focuses on co-developing sustainable and scalable nature-based solutions to postharvest food loss/waste in Africa. He teaches Sustainable Food Systems, Society and Environment, and the Geography of Africa.

Dr. Kansanga is an affiliated faculty member of the Global Food Institute at GW.
