The Minister of the Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition, Mr. ASSAHORE Konan Jacques was born on July 8, 1961 in Sinfra. He is married and father of 5 children.
He graduated from the Higher Cycle of the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in 1989. His career was marked by his commitment to public administration, particularly within the Public Treasury, where he rose through the ranks, including Head of Department, Research Officer for the Director General, Authorized Representative, General Treasurer, Public Debt Accounting Officer, Deputy Director General, and finally reached the position of Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting in 2016.
His visionary leadership has helped transform the Public Treasury into a more efficient administration, capable of effectively supporting the growth of Côte d'Ivoire. His achievements include the certification of the Public Treasury to the ISO 9001 version 2015 standard, the establishment of internal auditing at the Public Treasury, the modernization of financial flows and state internal control through TrésorPay-TrésorMoney, the Single Treasury Account (CUT), the coordination of negotiations for the restructuring of outstanding Treasury bills and his role in mobilizing resources on the capital market.
He was elected Deputy of the Diabo-Languibonou Constituency in 2021 and President of the Gbêkê Regional Council since September 2, 2023.
In addition to his professional commitment, ASSAHORE Konan Jacques has been appointed head of the Finance Commission of the Organizing Committee of CAN 2023 (COCAN), a key role in the preparation of the African Cup of Nations which will be held in Côte d'Ivoire in January 2024.
A hard worker, Minister ASSAHORE Konan Jacques has received numerous awards for his contributions to quality public service. He was awarded the Public Administration Partnership Prize in 2017, the Encouragement Prize for Innovation and Improvement of Service Quality in 2018, the Pan-African Special Prize for the best public administration in West Africa in 2019 and elevated to the rank of Commander in the National Order.
Since October 17, 2023, he has been Minister of the Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition in the government led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré MAMBE.
