Cheick Camara currently serves as the Vice President and Managing Director for ServiceNow Africa, where he drives growth and innovation across the continent. With a strategic focus on expanding ServiceNow's footprint, Cheick leads initiatives that leverage the transformative power of ServiceNow’s AI platform to accelerate business transformation. His efforts empower businesses and public sector organizations to achieve rapid digital transformation, scale innovation, fuel growth, and reduce costs. Cheick also oversees ServiceNow’s investment arm in Africa, identifying and investing in top emerging companies on the continent. His leadership ensures that these strategic investments align with ServiceNow’s vision of fostering innovation and sustainable growth in the region.
In addition, Cheick plays a pivotal role in advancing ServiceNow’s RiseUp initiative, a global program dedicated to building digital skills and fostering equitable access to technology careers. Through partnerships with universities, nonprofits, and other institutions, RiseUp empowers individuals and organizations with the knowledge, certifications, and resources needed to thrive in the digital economy. This initiative supports ServiceNow’s mission to skill one million people by 2024, driving workforce transformation and economic opportunity.
ServiceNow is rapidly expanding its presence in Africa, with established operations in South Africa and Kenya and plans for further expansion. The company’s commitment to the continent is underscored by investments in clean energy in Kenya, including a partnership with GivePower to advance renewable energy solutions. This collaboration has resulted in the deployment of solar-powered water pumping systems, enhancing access to clean water for communities in need. These projects exemplify ServiceNow’s dedication to driving positive change and contributing to sustainable development across Africa.
With over 20 years of experience, Cheick Camara is a dynamic executive with a proven track record in finance, technology, and operations. Before joining ServiceNow, he held leadership roles at Symantec and Veritas.
Cheick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Washington State University and has completed advanced executive education programs, including the prestigious Chief Operating Officer Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and additional certifications at Stanford University.
Beyond his professional achievements, Cheick is a dedicated advocate for underserved and underprivileged communities. He has established impactful partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other nonprofits. Locally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley, co-chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and is a member of the Advisory Council for the College of Engineering at San Jose State University.
